Johnson Dominates Win’s 7th Race & Takes 3rd Pole

Jarit Johnson qualified with the fast time and piloted the Mintex Brakes Late Model to victory lane for the 7th time this season at Hickory Motor Speedway. It was the second time this year that Johnson has led all laps and won from the pole. The team had five-wins in a row earlier this year before hitting a streak of bad luck in the last two events. But tonight the bad luck ended in a perfect race for Johnson. “We’ve struggled with the last few races,” said Johnson in an interview after grabbing his 3rd pole position this year. “We were good today in practice so I feel good about our chances tonight.” And after the race… “This one is for my crew guys,” said Johnson from victory lane. “These guys worked really hard the last few days to get our car turned around and back on track. I tell you, I wish that all race car drivers have a chance one day to drive a car that perfect.”
